I love gathering us for intimate living room listenings to listen together to songs that have long filled Chinatown living rooms – and the histories & memories that come with them. Rooted in the belief that we can all be DJ historians, I also invite *you all* to bring a favorite song of your own to share & soundtrack our living room with us.

Bringing together art, music, & oral history, Chinatown Records is both a home archive of Chinatown music & an ever-growing record of the people who bring all this music to life with us. 

And I want you to have these special conversations with your loved ones too! So I teach workshops about how to use music to start these conversations and get to know your family & neighbors.

We're building up the next generations of up & coming DJ HISTORIANS!

This project started and will always be rooted with my family & neighbors – and our shared love for music. Together, we make musical oral histories {{ sonic histories }}, weaving together our favorite songs & memories of them.
